DJ Renner Books
DJ Renner is the author of two middle-grade books. Renner currently teaches high school Social Studies including Advanced Placement United States History. He is proud of his efforts to collaborate with his district's English Department at Schuylerville CSD in New York on many projects over the years. Through these efforts he began a constant search for historical fiction for the classroom that could be used in a cross-curricular approach. Eventually, these experiences motivated his efforts to become an author and inspired his first book in the historical fiction category. Renner strove to write an engaging Puritan adventure story that included English, Spanish, and French 17th century colonization efforts and their interactions with the Northeastern Native American Indian tribes. His second book, Raiding Dad, Using Middle School Rules, is a work of contemporary fiction.
Renner is married and has three children. He and his family live in upstate New York. Renner has a master's degree in secondary education from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. He is the Varsity Baseball Coach and Intramurals director. He and his wife enjoy watching their children's various athletic pursuits. He writes in his free time.
